Rain, Rain, Rain

Last night, we had severe thunderstorms roll through our area which resulted in a lot of flooding and schools being closed today. The flooding didn't damage anything on our property or on my street that I can see. But a house in our neighborhood was struck by lightning and caught fire. The house burnt to the ground and is a total loss. The area that was hardest hit by the storms is about 15 minutes away from our house. Cars were caught under water and people had to be rescued. An ambulance trying to rescue someone that was trapped ended up getting stuck in the water and they had to be rescued as well. There is also a neighborhood close by that is flooded. Most of the houses have water in them and some people will have to be rescued from their homes. The rain was insane and lasted all night long. They expect us to get more rain later today.
