2 things people had to say:
OH MY GOSH LOVE THOSE EGGS!!!! Twix is just adorable. So I woke up yesterday and my first question to Johnny was, "why do we associate God's resurrection with bunnies and eggs. I dont understand how much we turn religious holidays into a Hallmark or shopping spree event. Just makes me sad that the kids loose the real celebration. My first thought before I ate dinner was, "Lord, thank you for the opportunity to be with my family but more important I celebrate you". I wanted to say it outload but I was too shy to take the lead and say the prayer infront of everyone, not sure why. Anyway Johnny looked it up and it said.
The egg is a pagan symbol of the rebirth of the Earth in celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus
A holdover tradition from Passover...eggs (throughout many cultures) symbolize new life...the new life of Spring, the new life of the spirit in Christ.
Everything is coming back to life after winter. Bunnies are breeding and birds are beginning to make nests and lay eggs.
I thought to share it...
I love you
(sorry I rambled)
Heyyyyyy, I know that fire pit!!! I just hope Fe wasn't trying to make any fires and if so, Smokey the Bear (you) were preventing them! Fire Marshall Bill! Kiddos look fan-tab-u-lous as usual!!!! :)
